Molybdenum powder
Content: Mo: 60% - 70%; particle size: -60mesh -80mesh-200mesh - ultra fine.
Ferromolybdenum alloy can increase the wear resistance of alloy products and is widely used in welding materials, powder metallurgy and other industries.
The strength and hardness of iron-based P / M products can be improved by adding molybdenum alloy element, which can meet the requirements of high strength condition. This is because the addition of Mo Fe alloy element can improve the microstructure of iron-based PM products in the sintering process. By changing the position of s point on the Fe-C phase diagram, the carbon content of pearlite decreased. The distribution and morphology of carbide are changed to form granular bainite. With other alloy elements (such as chromium, nickel, etc.), acicular bainite is easy to form and the strength of products is improved. In the later stage of heat treatment, molybdenum alloy element can improve hardenability and wear resistance. Molybdenum alloy is a kind of excellent powder metallurgy additive. If pure molybdenum powder is added, it is difficult to achieve the ideal effect. Because of the high melting point (2600 ºC), large atomic radius and coarser particles of molybdenum, it is not only easyto cause segregation in mixing, but also difficult to diffuse in sintering, resulting in uneven microstructure, which will also have a great negative impact on the later heat treatment. In addition, the cost of pure molybdenum powder is high, so it is unreasonable to use pure molybdenum powder as additive.
Due to the high temperature melting process, ferromolybdenum alloy has the characteristics of full alloying, low melting point and small composition segregation. In the process of sintering, the powder of ferromolybdenum alloy is easy to spread evenly and alloy easily, which makes the products have uniform fine grain structure. The use of ferromolybdenum alloy can also reduce the production cost. The practice shows that the product density is slightly higher than that of pure molybdenum powder
